Notes:
The 1954 'Royal Visit' Florin commemorated on its reverse the first visit of a reigning monarch to Australia. This one-off reverse was accompanied by a new obverse die which added 'F : D :' an acronym for 'Defender of the Faith' to the obverse legend. Another change was a reduction in the number of denticles from 114, which had been used on the 1953 and standard reverse 1954 florins, to 113 on the 'Royal Visit' Florin. This new obverse remained in use until the last 1963-dated florins were struck.
