Notes:
The 1942 Melbourne-struck threepence is a scarce coin in any condition and a rarity in high grade. The long accepted mintage of this coin was 528,000, but W. J. Mullet, the Melbourne Mint official who was responsible for tabulating coin production figures, recorded in his 1991 publication 'Australian Coinage - An Account of Particular Coins' that only 380,000 were actually struck.
